The Hermle Tellurium reproduces the annual orbit of the earth around the sun. While the earth rotates around its own axis once every twenty four hours, the moon revolves around the earth every 29.5 days around its axis. This reproduces the different moonphases as they are visible from earth. In the course of one year, the earth will pass over all twelve zodiac signs, months and individual days which are indicated on the intricately designed top plate. A top viewing dome and glass side panels allow full view of the inner mechanism from all angles.
This collector's item features a solid cherry base, polished 8-day spring-wound movement, 4/4 Westminster chime, 4 polished bells, separate second, 11 jewel deadbeat escapement, polished brass top plate with milled months, days, zodiac symbols and rosettes.
